My Story
I’m not really sure where I was born, but I remember that I had at least one sister. We were both taken to the Houston SPCA when we were very small. I was adopted by Mom and Dad when I was about six weeks old. We used to live in a big house with no back yard, and now we live in a TINY house with a BIG backyard. I’m glad Mom and Dad finally figured out their priorities.
My favorite thing to do is to make sure that everyone in the house is safe and that nobody is trespassing on our property. When I see an intruder I do the logical thing and bark my head off so that they know they’re in the wrong place and if they don’t move along they might get hurt. Mom and Dad don’t like my barking, so they try to get me to ‘woof’ instead of bark, which I don’t understand, because intruders can’t hear me woof’ing, and it sure doesn’t feel as good as barking.
One of my other favorite things to do is to run around on sand. I LOVE sand…I race around like a MANIAC!! It is so cool…the sand flies everywhere, and every once in a while I stop and dig and dig and dig and dig and dig and throw sand all OVER the place. And nobody gets mad at me. There’s a park near my house with a small patch of sand, and I like going there. But sometimes Mom and Dad take me to the beach! And there’s NOTHING but sand, sand everywhere! And birds! And WATER!!! I LOVE playing in the surf! If there’s nobody around, they let me off the leash and I run and run and dig and dig and splash and splash and chase birds and run some more and splash some more and dig some more and chase some more birds. NOTHING is more fun than the beach. The other thing I love about the beach is that it’s where we got my first brother, Biscuit. You can read that story here.
